NEXTGEN medicine
Investing in every stage. Advancing everyone.
WIM Scholars Program:
launching fall 2026
WIM Scholars is a multimodal program for residents and fellows who want to build careers spanning research, mentorship, professional development, and community engagement. Each annual cohort of scholars commits from September to September, meeting to establish their own cohort identity and shared goals for the year.
Scholars are paired with a dedicated attending mentor, participate in five professional development workshops on topics such as negotiation, grant writing, and leadership, lead a research project in collaboration with the VERITAS Lab with support to submit their work for publication or presentation, and design a community engagement project addressing a health need of their choosing.
WIM Alumni Program:
ambassador to resident to physician and beyond
The WIM Alumni Program is the connective tissue only WIM can offer: a formal network for trainees who have contributed to WIM's mission and advanced into residency, fellowship, or early practice.
The Alumni program maintains continuity through training via newsletters, event invitations, mentorship programming, and a dedicated email and database infrastructure, ensuring that the relationships WIM builds with students and trainees do not end at graduation.
Student Ambassador Program:

In healthcare, mentorship transforms careers and saves them.
people who invest in nextgen medicine create pathways that might not otherwise exist: opening doors, offering guidance through challenges unique to women in medicine, and modeling what's possible.
That investment is most powerful when it reflects the full continuum: from the medical student finding her footing to the mid-career physician navigating institutional barriers to the senior leader shaping health systems.
When we commit to mentorship across that full spectrum, and with equity at the center, we don't just change individual careers. We change who gets to lead healthcare, and what that leadership looks like.
