Women in medicine face a leadership gap that talent alone doesn't close, and closing it takes mentorship, research, and national infrastructure, all of which depend on philanthropy. As a nonprofit, we rely on your gift to keep our programs accessible and affordable for women from every part of the country, urban to rural, so that geography and resources never determine who gets to lead. Every dollar goes directly toward positioning women across the pipeline, from medical school to senior leadership.

How We Operate
WIM does everything we do without full time staff. Our professional team and dedicated volunteers allows us to bring in the right expertise for each initiative without carrying overhead. This means more of every dollar goes directly into the programs, research, and events that support women in medicine, rather than into fixed administrative costs. As WIM grows, so does our need to invest in the people and infrastructure behind this work. Donor support is what will make that growth possible, and every gift brings us closer to it.

Our impact runs across three areas:

Developing Leaders
Your support connects physicians, nurses, APPs, and healthcare professionals with mentorship, leadership programming, and a national professional network, positioning them to rise, lead, and stay in the workforce. When women thrive in their careers, the entire health system is stronger for it.

Driving Research
The WIM VERITAS Research Lab produces rigorous, independent research on workforce sustainability, gender equity, and women's health, informing institutional practice and shaping how healthcare organizations support the women within them. Our research drives real change in how institutions recruit, retain, and recognize women.

Strengthening the Field
Your gift ensures WIM can convene, connect, and amplify the work of women leaders across healthcare, building the organizational infrastructure and national presence that makes systems level change possible. Women in medicine need to be positioned, and your support makes that possible at scale.
