Thank you for your interest in becoming a contributor to the WIMS blog!

If you are interested in submitting a piece, or exploring another potential topic/idea, please contact blog@womeninmedicinesummit.org.

In particular, we are excited to share #womeninmedicine and gender equity content pertaining to these themes:

  • Gender discrimination

  • Professional development and advancement 

  • Use of social media

  • Digital scholarship 

  • Work-life integration

  • Resiliency, burnout, and wellness

  • Parenthood

  • Fertility

  • Negotiations and financial planning

  • Advocacy 

  • DEI including racial and LGBTQ equity and inclusion

  • COVID19 related work including vaccine education 

Formatting:

  • Pieces should be approximately 400-750 words

  • Include professional designation and affiliation

  • Include a short biosketch

  • Include social media handles

  • Include 4-8 keywords 

Expectations:

  • Pieces will be well formatted and edited at the time of initial submission

  • Pieces will include non-discriminatory and non-defamatory language 

  • Pieces will uphold patient privacy standards including, but not limited to, HIPAA regulations

Timeline:

  • Pieces will be reviewed by our editorial team within two weeks of submission

  • Any requested edits will then be returned to the author(s), to be acted upon within two weeks

  • Completed submissions will be posted to the blog within 2-3 weeks of final acceptance
